Hello, I’m Emma
I’m an artist, a mother to two wonderful children, and the proud founder of this flower studio.
Growing up in South Africa, I was lucky to be surrounded by big, beautifully kept gardens. I was always barefoot, always exploring. Since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to nature, landscapes, colour and beautiful old things full of character. I truly believe that connection to the natural world has led me to where I am today.
Now based on the coast in beautiful East Lothian, Scotland, with my husband, our two children, our dog Munro and our cat Ruby, I design flowers that reflect the people they are created for.
More Than Just Flowers
When you enquire with me, it’s never just about flowers. I consider many different factors to create something completely one of a kind.
With a warm and professional approach, and an artist’s eye for detail, I guide you through a design journey that feels thoughtful and collaborative. From our very first conversation to that unforgettable gasp of excitement when you see your flowers for the first time.
In my studio, floral arranging becomes a kind of storytelling, where nature and artistic flair come together to create something truly breathtaking.
Floristry as Art
For me, floristry isn’t about copying and pasting a Pinterest image. It’s an art form.
It’s about stretching creativity and using interesting shapes and beautifully fresh flowers to capture small moments within each arrangement.
Jasmine vines and silver birch create shape and structure.
Big headed dahlias and foxgloves bring colour and drama.
Cosmos and clematis add depth and character.
I love working with the seasons and gathering what I can from local flower growers. Seasonal flowers have such personality and bring a special energy that elevates every arrangement. I also work with trusted wholesalers to ensure quality and variety.
I will always forage for large branches, twisted vines and unique varieties to create natural, whimsical designs.
